Kilps
No longer required. Thank you for all responses. I need to collect a Supra boot lid including glass from Milton Keynes and take it to Crawley. I've already messed the seller about enough by arranging to meet him, then realising I don't have a vehicle big enough to fit it in (you know who you are - sorry mate!) My next idea is to wrap it in layers of cardboard, then in layers of that plastic pallet wrap stuff to stop the cardboard falling apart if it rains, then tie it to a roof rack on top of my Corolla. Unfortunately I don't have a roof rack or enough of any of the other stuff. Do you lovely people think it would survive being transported like this, or would the boot lid be destroyed? If the above is positive, does anyone have a roof rack/bars I could borrow? It'd need to be the type that attaches to the roof after you remove the rubber running strips. Not the type that attaches to roof bars (I don't have them), or the type that attaches to the top of the door shuts (my Corolla is three door so I wouldn't be able to fit the rear bar). Also if anyone local to me has any cardboard, large plastic wrap or rope they need rid of, I'll take it! I realise this is a ridiculous request, but it's worth a shot! Surprise me Supra forum! Josh
Why not get a courier to pick it up and deliver it to you? Might be easier.
CJ
Why not get a courier to pick it up and deliver it to you? Might be easier. If you do, make sure you insure it for the full value. I used a courier to transport one once and it got badly damaged in transit.
Kilps
As above really, I'm worried about a courier damaging it. I'd still want to wrap it in cardboard and plastic before they collected it. Plus Collecting it myself would probably be cheaper, although I haven't looked at courier prices yet. I'll have a look and see what I can find. And I'll be sure to insure it if i decide to courier it. Thanks for the suggestions

Thanks for the offer mate, but my Corolla is three door. I don't think I can get hold of a four/five door car to use.
