Sorry, I meant "professional photography" but didn't want to sound too insulting toward Hodge's photomagraphic skillz :p

Mate my photographic skills are utter shite and I'm not ashamed either lol.

I'm looking for Supermarkets on 2-for-1 on the toilet roll!

My sister used to own a pub until recently so I've stacked up on toilet roll off her for this very occasion lol. I'll keep you a roll spare.

Cool, nice one Ryan. What failsafe modes does it have? FBW worries me ;)

There is lots of failsafes with DBW!! Espically on DBW strategy on the Life and Syvecs Ecu's as the LMP cars run DBW and life put every failsafe in possible to ensure no lose of control.

For example as a minium the Pedal needs at least 2 Positioning sensors which are all linked into the ecu for an A+B validation which if one of the sensors goes out of a 4% range of the other it goes into safe mode which limits the Throttle to around 10%.

Then the Thottle has the same setup with at least 2 sensors again which do the same as the pedal. It also measures the flyback voltage to the motor to ensure if the throttle gets jammed it will shut down the engine. Then what you can do with the control is quite amusing.

For example on a turbo charged race car when you lift of the pedal and depressed the clutch pedal you can tell the throttle control to go wide open and add shit loads of ignition retard to have a proper antilag setup. This is what the new F1 car will be all aiming to get right when they start using the turbo engines to ensure that they have maximum power all the time.

Turbo tech will certainly go mental when f1 start using it again. I cant wait!!

Thanks Ryan, it will be good to see how the turbo technology advances, I hope they don't hamstring it, at the moment the GP bike engine tech is far ahead of the F1 engine stuff :( Have you seen DBW throttle actuators than can be retro fitted to a multiple throttle body set up, like the RB26DETT, or Jenvey type aftermarket set ups? Maybe I should drag myself out of the dark ages and embrace more of this electrickery? ;)
