URGH! Bugs, bugs, everywhere.

There are thousands (I exaggerate not) of little orange flying things outside our house. Our windows are covered in them and they are swarming in the air outside. The car is covered too. Yuck.

Worst of all we have had to shut the windows as they were entering in their tens. It looks like insect massacre in here. We are sweating buckets and still they multiply. This may be my last post. I don't..... my god, they are coming through the walls...........

Eaten alive! Don't say that. I remember reading a new story many years ago about an impending invasion of flies from France that laid their eggs on anything that moved. They hatched and ate the host alive. That freaked me out so much I still shiver about it now. And no, it doesn't seem any less frightening just because it was only featured in the Sunday Sport.

I guess this is one of the downsides about life in a little country village. This and the big spiders and that one f**king bird in the tree outside our bedroom that does the same bloody polyphonic warble all day long starting at first light, which is about 4 am. No wonder birds don't rule the world when they can't understand the concept of a lie-in. Seriously, if its 'call' was made into a ringtone you'd think the crazy frog was a masterpiece.

Oh we get the 'coooo' toooooo. This one bird though is on a whole other level. It really is like a semi tuneful ringtone played on a busted phone.

If anyone wants to bring a Nur Spec fitted Supra round I'm sure it'll scare the bloody thing off for good. Or a shotgun. Or one of those mini-guns from Predator. Or Napalm. Or nuking the villiage from space. Just let me sleep until 6. Is that too much to ask?

There is some type of bird that copies telephones, not sure which one it is though. The most annoying thing in the whole f**king world!

Further to the bug invasion of last night.

Today we invested in a large room fan for keeping us cool with the windows shut. No more sweaty nights like last night. Came home to find the bugs of last night and this morning are gone. How inconsiderate. Still, fan is awesome. More power than our Volvo.

She who must be obeyed had a bath last night with the windows open. I get a call from a very sheepish looking lady who think she may have let some of the bugs in. I then had to go on squashing duty. Wiped away the pathetic little corpses this evening, counting them as I went because, heck, if I don't have a Supra yet I need something to occupy my time.

273. Two Hundred and Seventy Three. I hope that teaches the little bastages a lesson.
