tooley
both are quite old films now but the original get carter and the long good friday for their time were ground breaking and had some pretty gritty moments
Lbm
I also enjoyed Harry Brown. Sticking with gangs, but not gangland per se, I remember feeling exhilarated and slightly disturbed when I first watched The Warriors. It was on a friend's VHS tape and we were about 11 or 12 years old. In fact we were so disturbed, we watched it again, immediately - just to check that we were as disturbed as we thought we were "Warriors...Come out to play-yay!" RobD
Danny dyer's dangerous men had an episode with Bernard manning, he had the actual range rover the blokes were shot in on the program! Danny asked him about the killings and at the end it cut to Danny on his own and he looked scared! He said Bernard knew more then what he should! I've always wanted to go to the place where they were shot and see, stuff like that really intrigues me for some reason, also gangsta's wives had Carlton leach on it, he took the film crew to where his mates grave was! That was pretty good.
