dcarrter21
Im running the modified manual tt ecu by amuse. I just want more information on what it does as it seems to change the way it drives completely. Ie, how the power comes in etc!?
johnny g
It'll have a different ignition/fuelling map on there
Nic
It'll be mapped to give slightly better performance, it will also probably remove/raise the fuel cut and remove the speed cut.
johnny g
I've heard a rumour where ECU's like that actually retard ignition before boost then advance a little on boost to make it FEEL like it's coming on stronger.
Wez
Will prob also be mapped for a higher grade fuel
Swampy442
As above, generic timing advance, boost/speed cut removal.
dcarrter21
It feels like its running the turbos in Parallel, the rev limit is around 7.5k now. Do u think it would be good too get it on a dyno to check afr's and egt's? Ive only got oil temp and water temp guages to look at!?
dcarrter21
Also its producing 1.15bar on hi boost
Scott
[-][/-]Also its producing 1.15bar on hi boost That is a boost controller though, not the ECU.
dcarrter21
Yes i know, its a greddy profec 2. Just thought id mention what its boosting too..
Swampy442
If you have any doubts, get it dyno'd, they can monitor AFRs and up to boost accordingly
Nic
It feels like its running the turbos in Parallel, the rev limit is around 7.5k now. It won't be the ECU causing the turbos to run in parallel, but it could have been converted to run that way. What rpms do you get positive boost? It should be around 1.8K rpm if running sequentially or 3K+ rpm if running in parallel.
dcarrter21
It was running seqencial before i changed the ecu, thats why im confused! Could it be the boost controller? As i know theres that setting that alters how quickly the wastegate opens?
Lude
think the boost is running a bit high, mine does that too, feels fast tho lol im getting an AFR gauge next, as i dont want the engine running lean, and scared that high boost will be lean PS where did you get the ECU from? dcarrter21
1.15 bar is fine, i allways thought 1.2 was the limit??? A friend of mine got it with a turbo kit, im pretty sure its designed for bpu. Im gonna have a play with the boost controller!
Lude
sorry, thaught you said boost was 1.5, not 1.
