But whats with the White wire ? - White: +ILM (To 12 V wire when small light is on)

They mean the light when i open the doors ?

I got a 94 Jspec MKIV ... the most of you installed the controller at the clock but i got no clock :innocent: pretty shitty

You want to wire this into the dimmer switch for the dash lights, you will have to test the side of the wire you need '+' feed when side lights on.

Then when you put your lights on then at night the gauges will draw the feed from when the side light switch/ headlight switch is activated, illuminating your gauges.

Job done.

NB: I assume by small lamp they really mean side lights on, first stage of the headlight switch.

Why do you wire it to the dimmer and not just a live wire that is positive with the lights?

I only ask because I have a load of defi gauges installed and they are wired to the dimmer, the problem I have is I have to dim my dashboard lights before the gauges dim. This works but i'd rather have the gauges dim as soon as the lights are on since theyre bright anyway.

I'm going to remove most of the gauges but if theres a better place to wire the light sensor too I wouldnt mind switching it over.
