eyefi
do a search for "decat", "exhaust", "boost controller", "RLTC", "hybrids". as with modding anything theres still a risk, but theyr good strong motors. do a search for "dyno" to get lists of numbers and their mods. im not being funny, its all been gone over a million times, and theres alot of really good info in here if u seek it out. good luck

Or, save your £30BB service, go to Halfords and pick up a book for £12.99 about forced induction tuning. Isn't the point of a forum to share tales and info? You wouldn't say to the wife "do a search" when she asks where the remote was, if you knew it was lodged between the arm and the first cushion on the right. This post isn't meant to come across as 'arsey', just merely an observation.

You should look on Supraforums i don't know if it's because they are Americans and they have this superiority complex or something, but that's the answer to nearly everything on there. What on earth were you looking for when you found this thread from over 2 years ago??

I was on a SupraUK thread on the front page, at the bottom it had related threads, I clicked on it, replied, and bosh.... here it is- never looked at the date

tbourner
Hey there are a lot of dyslexic people in the world, they can't all spend their time spellchecking everything before they post. Aerotop Dave
My gawd, I can't believe we're now suggesting that we tell people to NOT search and ask instead. The point is, someone can either spend the time typing out a complete answer (think about the subject here, it's not exactly a two line answer) or the original poster can spend 15 mins searching around and get all the answers they need. Infact, they'll probably find whole threads on each subject and thus find more information than could be contained in a single reply. Personally it drives me potty when people come on here and ask the same old questions. What doubly annoys me is when they put 'I know this has probably already been asked but...' (btw, an idea I had for the site last year was an 'upgrade path' plan that showed the route to take when upgrading a Supra, all the way from starting with a change of exhaust right through to going single, with all the steps inbetween. Being a non-techie I wasn't the person to write it, but I floated the idea around without success. If anyone wants to now give this a crack and give something back to the club there's a nice little project there. I'm fully aware that there will be differing opinions on the 'correct' route, and differing opinions on the advantages and disadvantages of each option, but I don't see why a good fist can't be made of it with all the options included and pros and cons of each mod)

What doubly annoys me is when they put 'I know this has probably already been asked but...' Exactly, if some people can't be bothered to do a search why should you bother to give them an answer. We can all recognise these simple basic questions. The search button is great, you can get everyones view on a topic that has come up over a long period so the answers are going to be much more balanced and valuable. JohnA
Well, as merely an observation, I'm impressed Eyefi spent the time and effort deciphering the post in the first place -Ian One of the reasons I laid down the 'moderator gloves' on ClubCalibra.com was the gradual erosion of clued-up members, replaced by txt-spk entities ...looks like I'll have to live with it, well it's a free world, one can always ignore posts of people who can't be bothered to spell (or don't know how)... RedM
Searching worked for me. It cannot be stressed how good a resource this forum is. Well worth paying to join even without a Supra yet. I Didn't know what BPU was, looked it up, wrote down what it was all about and then looked them up individually. That led to other things that led to others and the upshot is that I now know more about cars than I ever wanted to and I have even more questions. Tonight I shall be mostly investigating Torsen (I think it is) vs. TRD LSD. Searching: Its the new rock n' roll! Plus the girlfriend gets to watch TV in peace!! Nic
Just did a search for 'f*kcing pointless Tech thread' and found this, very informative cheers for all the advice guys I agree with Dave's idea of an upgrade path, think we need separate paths for engines and handling.
