SupraShaun
I seem to remember they would'nt insure me until I was 23.
James
Was gonna say - I'm sure it was 23 as I was 21 when I got the TT.
Matt H
Do you need a minimum years no-claims also? I may be wrong but I'm sure I remember reading that somewhere?

drift_bear
Thanks guys, Bit longer to wait then, cant wait till im 21, The drop in price from 20 - 21 is HUGE! why dont you shop around for insurance? i used to use adrian flux for insurnace on my performace jap cars from the age of 19 and they were good and helpful
mistertwo
Sky wouldn't quote me on an N/A at 21. Admiral seem to be giving me the cheapest quotes at the moment type in your details through confused.com and see what it comes up with. marc_p
Yup, as the others have said, it's 23.

rajsingh13
Try admiral i got my first supra when i was 19 and only paid £1000 i dont think anyone could beat that and now at 22 im paying £
RCK10
Shop around mate and you'll probably find a good deal. I got quoted at £2000 for a 1.4 306, yet it was £1900 for a UK Spec TT lol....
safcdixon
Adrian flux insure me now I'm 22 though but they insured me when I was 18 on a rx7 fd3Stwinsturbo so give them a shot they can only say no!
Havard
If you live north of Southampton, you'll struggle with Sky..!! *I know this isn't true but I like to keep the myth alive. They probably will insure you in most places it's just Mancs and Scousers they can't stand.!!* H.
mustang
Yup, as the others have said, it's 23. Sky said 24 for me, EUI group, Bell, Elephant etc were good for me on the Supra at first but I'd go for an insurer more suited to nice import cars as they do like-for-like on mods and generally give better policys. Josh
Sky said I had to be 23. I'm paying £900 with Admiral on a UK TT6 and I'm 22. I have 3 years NCB to add from my Golf policy when I sell that so it should go down to maybe £750 (well that's what the guy at Admiral told me). mentman
Shopping around on comparason sites, Im 20 an have 3 years driving and 3 years NCD im still getting £3200 quotes for TPTF! Will call up a few of the ones mentioned above. Cheers
Havard
Comparison sites are a waste of time when it comes to Imports..!!
Josh
I'm afraid when I was phoning about, most companies wouldn't give me a quote due to age or the fact it was an import. Don't even mention modifications. Honestly as soon as I got into my head that I was getting a UK spec I stopped shopping around as Admiral quoted me £1000 (before multicar discount). So I'm sure if you look about, you'll get a decent quote. Good luck
supra_aero
If you live in a real city in the UK and not a village in the sticks and are below 35, good luck getting a good quote from sky. They are awful. Much better specialists out there. I'm still yet to hear from anyone in London/Bristol/Manchester etc. under 30 who have had a good quote from them. Safely Insured
We look at each case on it's own merit, only some of our criteria is 'set in stone' but we'd only be able to look at a 22/23 year on on a TT. Thanks

Well not at all but thanks for airing your view. You've probably heard a handful of people we cannot help moaning and have formed your opinion from that. Your opinion is wrong. As ever, if you wish to complain about me you are very welcome to. Another excellent response. Why would I do that? It's your company that's losing out, not me. Just be thankful you don't work for Sky Sports!
