mistertwo
Just had the call I've been dreading. The MR2 has failed the MOT, both the rear strut tie rods are corroded and he won't issue a pass on them. He's going to start looking at cost in the morning for me - anyone on here got any sort of idea what this is going to cost to get her back on the road? Going to call Toyota etc, see if there is anything they can do. Josh

mistertwo
The tie rods on the rear? I don't know - not up on my suspension lingo.
Scott
I've got a set of all new tie rods if you are interested. Front and rear. I had a Rev2 car, not sure if yours is the same or if the parts are the same across the range.
mistertwo
Interested - what do you want for them? What would it cost to deliver them? What year was yours? Import?

Just did a quick search and they are the same throughout the range. 1992 Rev2 GTS T-Bar turbo (Import). £25 for all 4 posted bud.
mistertwo
and they're deffinitley the ones that connect the strut to the body (sorry, don't want to sound patronising, I'm trying to relay all the stuff from my mechanic)? Can you see what it would cost to next-day them?
Scott
Next day is £3 more bud. They are tie rods, drop links, etc. They connect the arb to the wishbone.
mistertwo
Hi bud, thanks for the offer, but I've managed to secure the parts with Toyota for not a lot more and I can have them NOW (being the major factor here). Really appreciate it though. Josh

So would work out at a bit more expensive for the set.
