fullthrottle
Hi everyone as some of you might no before christmas i purchased a set of gt28 turbos from the states then got ryan to install a syvecs ecu and map, with the result being 428 bhp. So last friday i went back to see ryan for another remap but this time we installed some bigger injectors so out came my stock 550 and in went a set of sard 650 then we ran the boost upto 1.4 bar as you will see below i am getting close to the 500 mark that i want to achieve but i will need to install this AEM water injection that i have just bought and some 264 cams then we can run the boost upto 1.7 bar. you will also notice from the graph that i am achieving 450 lb/ft of torque at 2400 rpm also added a pic of my car as i have never done this on here before Edited January 24, 2011 by fullthrottle (see edit history)
Bailey.
crazy low down torque that, great street car setup. is that dip fairly normal for a tt setup???
johnny g
What are your EGTs on this now?
The-Plethora
I can't comment about the power and stuff but Andre Fairbrother sounds like a badass Mexican wrestler and for that reason I can heartily give this thread a thumbs up! fullthrottle
What are your EGTs on this now? don't no what they are to be honest but ryan wants me to install the water injection before we give it any more boost
JamieP
Nice looking car and well done on the results, have you not got an egt gauge? might be worth getting one that has an alarm for peace of mind. Most powerful TT in the UK? any engine bay shots?

Most powerful TT in the UK? any engine bay shots? no mate i don't have an egt gauge, and to be honest i hate gauges all over the place i will have to look for one thats looks as if it was fitted by toyota, thanks for the comments on the car i prefer the stock looking lines with a bit of agressive detail of black trim, and maybe it might be the most powerful TT?? Kirk
Very nice Although that is a bit of a steap drop at what im assuming is the transition to number 2?
HadeS
Would like to hear some more info about the whole project as I'm very intrested of taking my 1jz engine to the higher level. The numbers what you're having are very impresive. Turbos and upgraded ECU, is this all what you really need when you are at BPU stage to make it work with no issues? Michael. johnny g
Most powerful TT in the UK? any engine bay shots? I think Lee might have something to say about that! But it'll make a hell of a street car, that's for sure.

fullthrottle
Is this the Speed4Sale hybrid twin kit? If so, what are planning to do to reduce the boost/torque drop in the midrange? yes mate it is the kit from speed4sale in the states, i guess i will have to speak to ryan to see what we can do but when you drive the car you don't really notice it
sdistc
Not sure if you've read it, but there's quite a bit of information on the GT28s thread on SF.com on modifications to reduce that boost drop.

CanisLupus
Nice power and torque but that drop in the transition oO
scoooby slayer
are these gt28s being run like a skyline ? or is it 1 small and 1 bigger with transition lull in the middle ? i personally wouldnt be happy with that at all, are the turbos still in stock position with stock manifold ? jmcc42uk
I was hoping a few of the knowledgeable people could come on and expand on some theroies about hybrid setup's in general. It is my understanding that the Speed4sale kit is a direct replacement and will run in the same way as the standard setup. Is this correct? Chris Wilson
I think you will find they are run sequentially like the stock setup, and are of the same size. I too would like to know how you have got on with them please.
clapyohandz
Good looking dyno sheet. Have you not tried to change the rpm the turbos transition ?
SupraDan24
A good alternative to going single i suppose, but i can see the costs would still pile up. How much was the water meth system you've purchased?
mikeyb10supra
Something I was waiting for when I had my car as I was well tempted to go down this route. I got rid of the supra just before otherwise I may have been posting up a thread like this Cool setup and impressive dyno
Tyson
I think Lee might have something to say about that! But it'll make a hell of a street car, that's for sure. I think he means sequential TT as opposed to TTC
