Scott
Overclockers are expensive. You could have saved some dough shopping around. Looks a good bundle though
foggy147
So with that board and chipset, will I beable to attach the above monitor before getting a top end graphic fitted next month?
AlexM
No, the board you have ordered does not support the onboard graphics on the processor.
foggy147
Right looks like I will be buying the graphics card earlier than expected lol
Scott
With regards to the 2500k... What is the point of the onboard graphics processor? Surely any £50 GFX card would blow it out of the water? Or is it used in addition to a GFX card? I did a google search on it but I could only find out the specs of it, not its actual use.
AlexM
To save you buying a £50 graphics card? Not everyone needs powerful graphics performance, and for many applications the built-in graphics processor is perfect. There's a full review on anandtech if you're interested. Now that is what I thought, however... I'm having trouble thinking of anyone who would need monster processing power without the GFX power. Video Editing Photo editing Playing Games 3D Rendering Graphic Design Etc etc etc. I was kind of hoping it was used in addition to a GFX card in order to make the above processes faster natively. johnny g
Audio editing? Encryption/Decryption Video conversion (I do a lot of * to MP4 conversion on a high CPU power, low FGX power box)
Scott
Audio editing? Encryption/Decryption Video conversion (I do a lot of * to MP4 conversion on a high CPU power, low FGX power box) Other than video conversion those are very specialised IMO, not usually what the mass market is aimed at. According to the reviews it has certain hardware video encoders built in so it would be handy in that respect. I just can't see the point of it from the high end user (the people who are going to buy it), although it is a VERY neat feature to have
DamanC
Good choice! I work for OcUK and do alot of the product management and purchasing. So if you need anything gimme a msg on here and i can sort you a sweet deal You can start off with sorting out your dreadful customer service and Returns Department, not to mention prices! The Intel HD 2000/3000 - The main use is for Media Centres. VGA, DVI and HDMI architecture. They make Sub £40 video cards obsolete. Granted not every one wants their nice new video card and you would think end users would be able to save say a tenner by not having it/optional choice. Its not the case as the chips would cost MORE to produce without the integrated GPU due to the way the dye is laid out

Scott
Sata cable and standard HDD mounting screws bud. The screws are the same for all HDD. If you have a modern power supply it should have sata power cables, if not you will need to get a molex to sata adapter.
