w41k3r
Had a bit of spare time today so decided to see how my gauges would look in place of the clock and the heater vent, a/f ratio gauge fitted fine but my 60mm boost gauge is a fraction to small did anybody else have this problem? any ideas how to get it sitting more flush ? SupraShaun
Hollow out the vent thing that was in that hole, then secure it in that. You'll be able to move it around then too (like the original vent).
w41k3r
yeah i just found this pic now does the vent not just come apart ? or do you just have to butcher it
jackso11
Take the fan ball to pieces and put the guage inside the ball. Thats how you get a good fit. Also, means you can move it if the sun is glaring
SupraShaun
I butchered mine
w41k3r
I assume this fan thing comes apart but at the moment im leaning towards the suprashaun style of butchering it
SupraShaun
Im pretty sure I still have mine hanging around at home. I moved my gauge as I have a pillar pod now - I'll have a look when I get home.
j_jza80
The fins push out of the vent fairly easily. If you find it's a bit loose or ill fitting, wrap the hidden bit of the gauge with a bit of duct tape
trinitom
you can try what i would be doing with my Greddy a-pillar 60mm holes, and that would be cutting 2 bits of Perspex with the right size for the pods and gauges, then you can paint it to look better. monsween
Yup it comes apart pretty easy Mine sits pretty funny tho because of the angle of the vacuum hose,
