Tricky-Ricky
Just wondering what is a safe max for N/AT? must admit i don't remember seeing anything over 450BHP?
abtin90
Depends on a number of things like your supporting mods, compression, what gearbox and clutch you have etc for example with a w58 box and uprated clutch you won't be able to go pass 400hp without breaking the box. Tricky-Ricky
I'm just talking about what the engine can take, without changing anything.
jagman
I think that would be its dynamic compression ratio ,calc that and it would give a max boost possible , providing the heat generated can be dealt with by the various parts

dr_jekyll
my engine is completely stock , unopend. makes between 380-400 is only used to thrash on tracks theses days and still purs like a kitten the max i have seen on a completelyt stock untouched ge engine was 420hp with a few combustion cooling aids , but strength wise if you drop the compression i cant see why 600+ shouldnt be a problem with the apropiet supporting mods Edited January 24, 2011 by dr_jekyll (see edit history)
clapyohandz
A buddy of mine put a Dave H. kit on his na, 61mm turbo, blew the HG within the 200 first miles. Other than that, I have seen some pretty neat na-t setups, especially one with a gtk 1000.
edge
Wasn't fearless running about 700bhp through an n/a bottom end. He had the TT head though.

clapyohandz
If you speak about the 61mm, the psi were 11 I believe. He mapped it not the best example...
