Right then, after being told I can not have the death march for 1st dance at my wedding, im at a dead end with ideas. Any ideas on this, something along the lines of a mans love song as I hate this sloppy crap that you hear at weddings all the time.

We are after something more modern than the golden oldies I was thinking the reason by hoobastank or iris by the goo goo dolls, any ideas??

Thanks Gareth

I think you should get everyone involved "DJ Casper - Cha Cha Slide" that would be orignal and one heck of a memory :) Or just you 2 do and no one will ever expect that!!

Deffo sumin i would do rather than the expected slow dance that happens at 99.9% of weddings ;) But thats just me

BUT if you have to have a "smile song" thats slow and to make it romantic etc... "3 Doors Down - Be Like That" came into my head as u could start slow then speed up a lil bit.....

Pantera - "This Love"? ;)

I know - Hospital of Death - "We Go Together" - it reminds me of a cheesy Tenacious D style love song :D

Speaking of which - Tenacious D - "F**k Her Gently" :)

Not sure if this will work, can't access youtube from work...

All the songs i have suggested to him are not "manly" enough for him. lol and our song that we have always related to us, we dont really wana dance to it tbh.

What a headache this is turning out to be... and theres me thinking this would be the easiest part of the wedding!

One of my favourite songs there, that's on my 'Funeral song' list in case I die:d

It's really hard for anyone else because we don't know your musical tastes.

Here's a few incorporating a few genres of music:-

Norah Jones - Come away with me

Madonna - Crazy for you

Just the way you are - Billy Joel

Lets stay together - Al Green

Stuck on you - Lionel Richie

The Wannadies - You and Me

Adam Sandler - Grow old with you (from the wedding singer - more kooky than anything)

Smashing Pumpkins - Today

Etta James - At Last

Elbow - One day like this

Accoustic version of Everlong (Foo Fighters)

Yeah Yeah Yeah's - Maps

Paul Weller - You Do Something To Me (loads of people I know had this if you want to fit into the stereotypes)!

Deftones - No Ordinary Love (sade cover)

Nearer Than Heaven - The Delays

The Jesus and Mary Chain - Just Like Honey

Ok - I'm sure there are loooooads more and some will not be your tastes. Just a few ideas. :)
