dude
I think their legality in the UK is still a bit of a grey area. The spec one I think is legal, it is A frmes that leave all 4 wheels on the floor that are the grey area, a car is only classed as a car if it can propel itself down the road, take the prop off and it is a trailer. The trailer law would then require brake independant to towing vehicle is above 750kg. http://reviews.ebay.co.uk/Tow-dolly-A-frame-towing-device_W0QQugidZ10000000009148711
dude
So a braked spec is fine as long as he says the car broke down, which it is. The camper thing I believe he is wrong about, but I will check that now.
