Stevo
Hi - I'm considering going to a UK brake set up and need to know if my Ultralite GT-II wheels will clear them. Anyone close by with UK brakes willing to let me try a wheel on their car please? Cheers Peeps.

Guest ugp
I tried my old set of ultralites and they fitted over some k sport 8 pots, so they'll definately clear uk's.

ManwithSupra
Hmmmmm....K-Sports...... DO it I got 8 pot 356mm fronts and 4 pot 356mm rears, IMO far better than UK brakes if you can afford them. See my review of them here ..http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?206375-K-Sport-Brake-Kits&p=2934804&viewfull=1#post2934804
Stevo
Remember I drive an NA though - not too sure about throwing good money away if not entirely needed. I do need new discs and pads all round though and hence started wondering if now is the time to make an upgrade. Been looking at the UKs MagicTorch has got up for sale and sorely tempted. Ah yeah fair enough, UK setup will probably be better then along with CW pads. UK's are a good upgrade Also consider that tyres play a huge role in braking. The better the grip of the tyre, the quicker it will help you to stop... that’s when the bigger brakes come into play... More grip will give you more braking force being applied to the Discs and Pads which leads to Increased heat which ultimately equals Brake fade. Bigger brakes do help you to stop quicker but mainly they are to reduce fade and improve repeated brake performance. Stevo
Just wanted to say a big thanks to Jurgen for offering to let me try my wheels on some of his stock today - cheers mate proper club spirit. Pleased to be able to know 100% that both my sets of wheels clear the UK brakes; Braids (easily) and the Ultralite GT-IIs (just).
