jonathanc
A long while ago I tried to copy my entire iTunes music library onto a Zen as I am thinking of moving onto another media player. However, I noticed the songs I've bought from the store would copy but won't play... Today I've heard from someone iTunes removed the DRM and I should be able to copy my collection over to any media now. However, I can't find anything in the latest iTunes software to do that? Thinking of using USB pen drive to play my music collection in car as my 8GN nano is always full... Anyone know more about this?
AndrewOW
Maybe anything purchased from now on, perhaps? I haven't tried that myself, but I would like to make a few mp3 cds for the car, and having that facility would free all that up.

TLicense
I believe you can pay to have the digital rights removed from all the music you've bought from itunes. There was something that popped onto my screen last time I was on there. It looked like the price was dependant upon the amount of music you've bought. Yeah, I think it's called iTunes Plus or something but I can't find out how to do that. A bit unfair if the DRM removal only applies to songs purchased after a certain period... Well my library is pretty big (circa 20GB) so dont really fancy burning to so many cds... I think you can burn onto DVDs though. However, the songs bought from the store would be protected and won't play on any unauthorised PC/media player... I've tried converting files to AAC so I can play on another media but it won't let me convert protected files as well! Grrr.... have a read here: http://askbobrankin.com/convert_itunes_to_mp3_format.html Cheers. Will have a gander. I think another method is to burn it onto a virtual CD drive or something. The software Noteburner comes to mind but its a paid software. I don't want to pay more just to have access to the music I've already paid in the first place lol. edit: Had a quick read and I've tried all methods suggested lol. Don't really fancy shelving out more and also wasting more time just to shift my music somewhere else I am thinking of buying a larger capacity used iPod but even the 4th gen classics are really expensive now! marbleapple
I bought a Zen and tried to move to iTunes. Had awful problems. Itunes files are different to other ones and everything needed converting over etc. made a right mess of my library.
