Anyone know how to get a teddy bear made?

Huskies in Need use a logo that plays on the Children in Need designs:

I don't think he's got an official name yet but something like Hugsky Bear would work!

Anyway, was thinking about getting some soft toy Hugskys made, but no idea how to do it, whether small numbers or not. Anyone know about this kind of thing?

Not sure how to make one but "Hugsky" would be hard for kids to say.

I thought that, but we have a donation scheme called Hugsky where people can donate any amount as low as £1 per month on a DD, and they get a Hugsky Members Pack and stuff - so thought that would fit. Hugsey might be a better name though (as long as we don't get sued by Children in Need!).

They will do a 100% custom bear. Must be 500 orders though.

Ooh looks good thanks!

Ah cool, if the name's all ready being used by the organisation then I guess it makes sense not the change it :)

If you are worried that all this is a bit close to the children in need stuff it might be worth getting in touch with them first and explain what you do etc? They might only suggest one or two minor changes and at least then you'd have your back covered. I can't see them getting in a flap as there are pretty obvious differences and you are both focusing on 2 totally different areas.

I know many Chinese plush manufacturers, your problem will be the manufacturing quantities (K's) and all the regulations and testing (expensive) you will need to do so they are safe for children. I wouldn't attempt to get into manufacturing your own, it'll be just too expensive and time consuming.

I've just done a google search for Husky toys and there are a lot available on the market, your best bet for small quantities would be to buy an existing toy off the shelf wholesale.

May be worth contacting a manufacturer like TY and ask if they'll do custom ones including the bandage for your charity.

Thats a good idea, better to find out before than after as it does sound like copywright infringement.
