on the forums not finding all these van and paint comments funny? I mean the club has managed to alienate a long standing club member and all some of you lot can do is take the piss. As it is I'm seriously considering not to bother coming to meets (and I used to travel pretty far to go to as many as I could) with the possible exception of Suprapod.

I think you people shouldn't start threads about something if they're not willing to hear different peoples opinions on the matter.

People aren't taking the mick because someone threw paint at his van, (I think most people in that thread said that they thought it was out of order) it's because he couldn't / wouldn't see both sides of an arguement, thought he was 100% in the right and asked the thread to be locked when people disagreed with him. A proper toys out of the pram moment in my eyes.

You can't expect to throw a tantrum in public and not be ridiculed for it.

I agree!

You make a fair point, it is turning into Driftworks a bit. But the OP was given the logical and simple answer several times, park it elsewhere.

I'm not trying to drag it all up again, but I think the point he was trying to make was that he didn't have anywhere else to park. I've seen where he lives and finding somewhere to park that isn't blocking someone else isn't easy at the best of times. In the short term, he wouldn't have many options other than to quit his job so that he no longer had the van.

He threw a tantrum, boohoo!

The comments are somewhat amusing, fully agree with tony above, he didn't like the response. Even asked for his membership to be cancelled. Come on, it is a forum, real life is out there.....

But it's scary out there :(

I think the point Bazza is making is now the thread is locked and he's obviously annoyed (whether you agree with why or not), why are people still going on about it mocking the guy in other threads.

To be fair, I understand that ; given the van is getting vandalised it is a pretty sensitive subject what the guy is going through and seeing jokes about it I guess doesn't help him or his friends see the forum in a positive light.

Can you not see Gav's point though? Can you see him out with his mates in the pub and them patting him on the back telling him it will be ok, while he crys?

I can't. If I was in his shoes I would be getting cheap digs about it for weeks. The exact same if one of my mates were in his shoes. It's the way friends (generally guys) are. We make fun of the things that get us down and semi-serious situations. If everyone involved in that thread was sitting in a pub having a few jars everything said would be taken in a whole different light. It's the way of the tinterweb, keyboard warriors and all that, thy interweb honor must be defended.

boo

ARGHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... FFS Don't do that!!

I feel sorry for the guy having the van vandalised , Yes i must agree i wouldn't like that van parked outside of my house, However i wouldn't start throwing paint over it. It must be a worry for his family especially with young children. I don't know what the answer is apart from leave the van at work and just have to set of abit earlier in the morning to pick it up?

I totally see what you are saying. Some people will take offence to it, some may laugh it off. Depends on the person I guess.
