dr_jekyll
i have just been in the kitchen cooking a roast lambe with green beans satay potatoes with a mint gravey . so i call the mrs and shes yapping on the phone to her mate, so i serve up , still taking... now i finished mine 20 mins ago and shes still on the phone with 3/4s of here plate untouched. the lovely meal i cooked id obviosly freezing and the lamb would have gone hard. and yet shes still flapping her gums on the phone. tbh im sat here and im pretty pissed off, am i just having a male period, or am i rite in prepering to have words IF she ever puts the f******ing phone down! opinions plese . ill sit here and boil in the mean time. i wont waste my time again/
Josh
I'd say rude but tbf I don't think my girlfriend would do that. If it ever happens, I'll let you know. You should have just stabbed your fork in the lamb and munched it, that would have stunned her/shut her up!
jonathanc
Sounds like a chronic case of male menopause dude.... Seriously tho, did you really cook it from scratch or is it one of them microwave meals
TTRickeh
Just tell her it's her turn to cook next time and when she serves up just put it in the bin and go and get a McDonalds.
Graham S
Know the feeling dude, my Mrs is bloody good at that.. I'm sorry but what's so difficult in saying to whoever they are on the phone to 'sorry, my dinner is ready, i'll call you back later' Surely thats the easy thing to do. Pick up her plate and empty it into the bin/feed the dog!
Jamesy
Yeah its a bit rude. But thats just what women do mate. Another reason i only cook once a month!!!
Gaz6002
In an ideal world you should have asked her if it was OK to serve dinner now or wait until she'd finished her gum-flapping.
Josh
Just thought, why are you cooking a lamb dinner at 11pm?
AndrewOW
Pull the phone cable out the wall, and shout 'dinner's ready!' Or, just don't bother next time.

KamaSupra
I'd be pi55ed off, but I'd bite my lip this once and just tell her calmly when she's off the phone that you find it disrespectful that she's wasted it after you cooked it. As nobody wants an argument this late at night do they? If she does it again then kick off

RobSheffield
Important question. Is she fit and does she have enormous baps?
Abz
Dude, I'd just walk around the house naked until she paid attention, once she does & gets off the phone, you need to pull her slowly to you & hold her tight, breath down her neck & nimble on the ears a little & while grabbing her behind say in a nice gentle sexy voice... "Dinner is ready on the table" - Then just walk away like nothing happened! Yes I am a bit mentally unhinged
Lbm
Is she a vegetarian? You never know. It's easy to overlook in our hectic hi-tech fast paced world we live in.

Westcoaster
I would have shouted loudly down the phone that dinner was ready! Seriously though, you need to man up, if you spend ages cooking a meal and it gets ignored, then she doesn't appreciate the novelty of the event. Are you sure it was a female friend she was on to?
