HadeS
I know the gearbox is different!!!! I want to know what the exact difference is in the two flywheels? V160 or V161 can tak as much power as you want. W58 is different story. Its limited to about 400bhp.
Andrew K
What gearbox do you have ????? I'm not 100% sure!! I bought it over a year ago from a trader on here, but at the time I didn't know there was two types of 6 speed box!! So never asked. If it's any help, when I bought it all I was told it was all the original parts from the one car and it had the early type small case 6 speed diff. Can you tell from that which box I might have then!?
j_jza80
IIRC it's stamped on the casing. It's far more likely to be a V160, V161s are much rarer.
jevansio
160 & 161 have different cooling fin patterns on the case. Iirc there are no stamps on the case From SF, V160: V161: Edited January 20, 2011 by jevansio (see edit history)

EMPEROR
.....just in case it is relevant the 6 speed na flywheel is slightly different from the 6 speed tt one too........... Are you sure Scott? Because I've put new TT clutch on the old NA flywheel... And looking at the parts catalog, they have same numbers. The clutches are different, but the flywheel is the same I think... Chris Wilson
If it's the same as the TT flywheel I have a good used one, low miles. I have a good used TT clutch and new ones in stock, but I would guess the clutches differ?
Andrew K
Thanks Chris but I've got the TT flywheel still that came with the parts when I bought them! Im a bit fussy and want to do the job properly! It's just that I'm unsure if there's two different types between the TT and N/A flywheels!? as its the N/A 6 speed flywheel that I'm after!! Are both part numbers the same for both then?
