toughboy101
Hello everyone, I'm not sure if I'm in the right place considering most of the members are either from the UK or Europe. I have a completely stock '95 Auto NA Jap spec Supra which I bought a year ago. I've already run it on the quarter mile doing a respectable 15.5 secs (I assume) with full weight and I would love to do a lot more with it. Here, there are probably around 20-30 Supras in the entire country and so, it is really difficult for me to source parts as I have to import every bit. I'm a newbie to performance mods (although I do know the bare basics of what each component does) so I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can get a step-by-step guide on doing a turbo engine swap since we don't have many mechanics here who have that sort of knowledge and expertise. And any ideas on what I can do with it? I'm planning on using it as a weekend car which I might occasionally use for amateur racing events. Thanks

Peter P
Hello and welcome. Your in the right place so no issues there. Do a search on here as there is a good guide on installing the TT setup into a n/a, will post the link up later when I'm on a PC as opposed to my iPhone! Good to see a following in India though and best of luck with your project. All the best, Pete

Attero
Is it me or are those tyres way too big for the wheels. Welcome to the club by the way! Are you considered wealthy if you own a Supra in India?

Are you considered wealthy if you own a Supra in India? By the way some of them drive in India, I think those are for side protection; the other road users just bounce away, like the dodgems! It must be frightening sometimes!

It must be frightening sometimes! I think they're a bit big too. I assume, the guy who used to own it before me had little clue about the Supra itself. Even the wheels are cheap domestic ones which are very unreliable. I'm thinking of getting myself a set of Lenso CQ2 wheels. http://www.lensowheel.com/Lenso-Sub-Brand-list/?SubCatID=10004 Any thoughts if they're good? And yeah, you've gotta be ready to shed some cash to own a Supra in India considering the import duties which are almost 110% and the rarity of the car itself would result in paying well over £20,000 for a decent 16yr old NA Supra. And it is pretty scary to drive in Indian traffic and if you aren't careful enough, you'll just have to pray that the car is the only thing that is wrecked[sHOCK][/sHOCK]
