hodge
Hi guys If I unplug this will it keep my MIL light on. If so is there any way to trick it to think it's still plugged in and the fluid is full. Thanks John
Steve
Its only a switch, so either open switch or closed switch. If the light comes on then just link the wires together, if it doesn't just leave them apart. Personally I would rather leave it there though. I like to know if my brakes are leaking and the fluid is low
hodge
Cheers steve. My bonnets open more than it's closed anyways so I'm not worried about it being in really.
Steve
Can you not just get some white covering for the cable to cover it so it blends in with the rest of the paint?
hodge
I'm going to have to do that with the wires behind it I think but I'd rather they just wernt there at all. I think I'm getting totally carried away with all this minimal engine bay milarky, it's getting obsessive now.

hodge
Can anyone confirm if I need to join the wires together or keep them apart on this.
Terminator
When it comes to safety, no matter how minimal you want to go, you should stop at the removal of system failure warning lights. If you got an instant line failure on the road the first thing you would know about it would be when the brakes failed, if this lead to you causing a fatal accident how would you live with yourself? Removing a warning feature for the sake of a look, is just plain stupid and totally irresponsible. I wondered how far people might go with the minimal look, this is madness. leelbuk
Isn't it part of the MOT for this to work too? I know the dash isn't part of it (although you may get an advisory) but it might come under the section where they check the handbrake like the ABS light being part of the ABS check etc.
