Scott
With the timing all set it was time to get the aux pulleys on and the crank pulley in place. This was an absolute nightmare of a job but I got there in the end. I also fitted the oil feed & return lines onto the block. Once that was done I moved onto a wire tidy. I finished off the drivers side and I started making progress on the passengers side. There's a LOT to do there but it's coming together slowly but surely. I need the ABS loom if anyone has one
Scott
With not a lot of time to spare I decided to just go ahead and paint the compressor housing. Also painted the oil drain to match my colour coded madness as it was red and blue previously.
Scott
I hadn't been working on the car for a while so it was time to get the hands dirty. I finished wrapping the manifold and then set about fitting it onto the head. This was a lot harder than you would think due to the studs being so close to the runners. Got it all fitted in the end though, along with the turbo, and got everything looking how I want it. It all has to come back off again though as the compressor outlet will need clocked with a 45 degree bend and the EGT fitting I have needs welded onto the manifold. Fun fun fun. Scott
I'm finally starting to come to the end of my shopping list. I still have one major purchase to get, which is the clutch, but other than a few bits and bobs I almost have everything to hand. Some new bits that I went and picked up recently from Kenblockseal. HKS SQV Racing BOV, Solaris S6 with Loom etc, Boostlogic Tubby Blanket and a slimline HID kit. The BOV was quickly painted black

Ricky49
Not a fan of the black tubby but each to there own. The rest looks pretty good Scott good work. Have you decided which clutch your going for?

Have you decided which clutch your going for? I'm not sold on it myself yet, I'm hoping that once it all comes together it will make sense though 99% certain it's going to be the RPS twin. I would need a seriously good offer to be tempted elsewhere to be honest. My credit card is quietly sobbing in my wallet as I type.

Interesting choice on the clutch mate - I've been looking at the OS Giken Triple for mine - for when mine does eventually start to slip. Will watch closely. Will watch closely. Tried and tested by JP. If it takes what he's throwing at it with 1000+HP then it'll certainly take everything I can throw at it I looked at the OS Gikens but I wasn't too sure given they don't like certain driving habits. I want something that I can rely on regardless of how I want to drive.

Scott
Very good point. CW swears by OS Giken, that's enough for me I think He said himself that they don't like to be launched hard IIRC. He recommends them highly for anything up to and including tracking the car, but drag launching is a big no-no with them. I'm pretty sure I heard him spitting after saying "drag" also

Scott
It's a frustrating business I'll tell you Waiting... sourcing... waiting... sourcing... fitting... waiting... sourcing... waiting... sourcing.. etc. The amount of hours I've put into the car is minimal compared to the faffing around I've done. I reckon I've probably only put in around 40 hours in total

Scott
40 hours?? that all! lol Tell me about it though on waiting for bits ect ect ect It might even be less than that to be honest. Tearing it all apart took me about 8 hours total. I've only been working on the car an hour or 2 at a time so each time I put "Day x" it's only really a couple of hours max.
