RedM
I've just seen an advert for that new Natalie Portman film, Black Swan. At the end the voice-over bloke (American) said "In cinemas January twenty-one". Not January twenty-first but January twenty-one. W.T.F.F. is that all about? TonytotheB
Surely if it's UK and using correct grammar, then it should say "21st of January"? Or am I going mad??

That would be correct but I'm guessing it's an American ad that has just been dumbed down even further.

dude
Does it really matter, the message obviously got thru because you now know when it is showing.

Guigsy
Just to add. Americans don't say January 21 etc. At least my wife, her friends and her family don't. I think it's just a stupid advert. Another one that annoys me is the one for that financial insurance body. That one with the signs and the bear. The woman says "Set up by government to bla bla." I'm sure it should be "THE government"

Josh
I've heard there's a pretty hot scene in the film. It looks weird and intriguing. I'll probably watch it when it's on TV!
