Homer
Are you bypassing the pump ECU completely? NA and TT fuel pump ECU's are completely different looks wise, however my car worked fine with either installed (TT car with an NA engine!), so I'm not sure that could be the issue. Certainly others have run their NA-TT's with the NA pump ECU so only wanted to mention it for troubleshooting purposes.
Parry_10
Ah ok i see, yeh im sure the 12v mod bypasses it as it sends a constant 12v to the pump
Parry_10
Really dont think its the pump ecu as my car was running fine with the 12v mod before i did the conversion, and if the fuel pump is pumping fuel through the rail then im clueless because i cant hear any priming from the pump
Homer
As mentioned, if you can hear fuel flowing at the rail the pump is working Put a multimeter across the pump terminals to confirm is has 12v.
Parry_10
Ok if it does any other ideas on what the problem could be?
Graham S
I know with my walbro I could be sat in my drivers seat and hear the pump buzz when i turned the igniton on for the brief second or two that it primed.. Can you not hear this at all? Surely if the pump isn't working you shouldn't be hearing fuel at the rail? When the car died did it physically just stop or did it cough a bit then stop, like it ran out of fuel? (or the pump stopped) Have you tried cracking a bolt off the fuel rail to see if you have fuel there?
Graham S
Weird one, you don't have some sort of dodgy alarm/immobilizer do you?
Parry_10
Yeh i had a walboro on my skyline and i could easily hear that from the drivers seat i cant hear anything from it what so ever, it didnt cough or splutter just died and wouldnt fire up again then it did fire up ten mins later for few secs then died and since then its not firing up what so ever, havent tried taking the bolt off if there isnt fuel there what could it be? Although im sure i could hear fuel through the rail unless its an intermitent problem:/

Homer
After cranking it and it not starting, also pull a plug and check if it's wet. Did it sound okay when it was running? I.e. not lumpy (overfuel)
Parry_10
Yeh it sounded fine and at that point ryanG was here aswell and said it sounded great just my luck 5 mins after he left it just cut out:( then i went to get fuel filled it up with a jerry can and it started perfect again and died few mins later and now it just wont start what so ever
Ryan.G
Did you check error codes Chris?
Parry_10
Yeh mate it was a constant flash which i read up means no error codes stored in the ecu..
Parry_10
Been out to the car this morning, the fuel pump is definatley not priming and there was no fuel going through the fuel rail, tried bridging fp and +b on the diagnostic port and it did nothing-chris
Stonkin
Sounds like we kinda have similar issues mate. I've left my battery on charge over night to try a few more things today http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?237107-Not-Starting-Advice-please

Stonkin
Have you checked all the fuses, especially efi 1 and 2 in the engine bay. Just a thought
