pistonbroke
I really enjoyed the first game, the in car view was the most visceral in car view I've ever played, this new one has a smart head movement in it where the driver looks forward around each corner, check the following vid....... http://www.gametrailers.com/video/track-disaster-shift-2/709252
Thorin
If that really is in-game footage it looks really good. Still more arcadey than GT5 though I should imagine. Sumo Power 350Z I see in the trailer too.

pistonbroke
Still more arcadey than GT5 though I should imagine. Sometimes I prefer the arcadey feel to the hardcore simulations. You get more fanfare and pantomime in the arcadey style racers more often than not, GRID and NFS shift are two good examples.
TubbyTwo
Sometimes GT5 and Forza are too serious for me. I just fancy screaming round a track in an arcade style game. Grid is great fun, love the drifting in that.
Septic
Yeah the drifting in GRID is amazing fun. This game looks brilliant. But there are so manY NFS games being churned out yearly its hard to keep track.
TubbyTwo
problem with most NFS games is no matter what car you have or how fast, the police or AI cars can always keep up. Classic example was NFS undercover, got the top car the Veyron, 200+ mph in a straight line and you would still get shunted by a cop car.... crazy. pistonbroke
NFS shift and the other need for speed itterations are from different dev houses, so they're very different games, but both carry the NFS title.
Jord
I first saw this on NFS Hot Pursuit where it forced me to watch an advert for it before it let me play. I didn't like the first shift but this does look pretty stunning though.
