GazzaGSi
I now have a desktop PC on the way so my 4 year old HP Pavilion zd8000 laptop is for sale. I'll get straight to the bad points so you know whether or not to carry on looking. Current Cons: 1) The laptop only works with the power lead plugged in, the battery has ran out of life. Replacement batteries are sub £50 here with a year warranty: http://www.mynewbattery.com/batteries.php?cid=1&bid=8&pid=28889 The laptop has never moved off my desk so never needed to replace (kind of defeats having a laptop but hey ho). 2) As in the reviews I'll link to later in the sale, the fans seem fairly loud. Especially when you are doing a couple or more jobs at once. Don't worry there isn't anything trapped in there, this is how this series of laptops is. 3) Again as the reviews will state, this laptop runs hot. 4) From the pics you will see this looks virtually new, it is unmarked other than where it sits on the stands which you can see in the pic. Right, Like I say I've had this 4 years and its never missed a beat. I have done 1 windows reinstall since I've had it and will do a fresh install for the new owner. Everything works as it should. There is no marks on the casing or screen at all. Its been opened and closed for 4 years, never moved and I look after my stuff. If you buy this you will not be disappointed, I take care of anything I own and just the slightest mark niggles me which is why I look after stuff. Again, you will see from the pics. I still have the original box, a never used carry case (it didnt go anywhere) and all discs / manuals that came with the setup. The only thing I have changed is the 1GB to 2GB DDR2. Standard, it came with 2 512mb sticks. I've slotted in 2 2GB sticks. Original included in the sale. GazzaGSi
Disc and manuals and they're all here, every disc and manual it came with when new: Review and more detailed pics here: http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2248 I seriously do not know what it is worth now, I understand the age / spec will have a lot to do with it but seriously this does not seem the age of a 4 year laptop. It still runs as new. I am hoping for £300 but is this more than optomistic because if it is I may as well get a new battery and keep it for if I ever go mobile with. Price edited, anyone interested at £200? Thanks for looking, Gaz
