csa
Been searching the tech stuff but cant seem to fint the answer: How much lock does the torsen diffs have (percentage wise)? and how much does the TRD ones have? Thanks
Chris Wilson
A Torsen LSD works in a totally different way to a plate type (TRD) LSD, and has no preload. Locking is down to torque load differences between the two drive shafts with a Torsen. A plate type also normally has static preload adding to the locking effect when the shafts transmit differential torque.
bodilx6
Hi Christian As Chris says. If you mean the bias in the torsen, I think it is 5:1 for the supra torsen. For a nice article about the torsen workings, have a look here: http://www.torsen.com/files/Traction_Control_Article.pdf
