Havard
I have argued with insurance companies re the NCB being solely on one car as I told them that I am the only person driving both vehicles and thus there would only be one or the other on the road at any one time...so why would they not extend my NCB to both cars to get my business!? Some eventually saw my point and agreed to mark the same NCB to both cars if I took out a policy with them then and there, whilst others told me to politely bugger off!lol! If you dont ask you dont get and you just have to remember that they want your business! Re the car I'd prob say a Seat Leon Cupra Diesel...mate has one and he gets ridiculous miles for a car that has a good turn of pace! This is true. I technically had no NCB after years of driving as a rep, being out of work for 8 months and being a second driver on my wifes company car policy. I put together letters from previous employers, Direct line and the classic cover from the Supe and got 9 years no claims with Be Wiser insurance for my Audi A4. At first I was looking at quotes of over £1500 but ended up with £660 after putting the info together. I can now take this discount anywhere with me. H. foggy147
Im in the market for a lil run around with the exact same budget mate. I've been looking at yaris and micras, it's definately going to be one of the 2, theres alot more micras to choose from, so it's likely to be a micra, if anyone has any advise on what to look for on a micra would be appreciated
gurteen0
I bought a mondeo diesel last year 1.8td 8V for £300 fully leathered up I do 70 miles each day it's got 210,000 on the clock and it's a great and cheap daily car. It's very cheap to maintain and I'm soooooo glad I had it especially in the snow and it's never ever let me down once. Worth considering and it's a big and very comfy car just don't rule these out as I will keep mine till it drops. Massive boot to get all your Supra bits out of the conservatory lol . ozz
I had a vtec-e civic 1.5 years back, the insurance wasn't cheap then and they're not great on petrol. Totally bullet proof though (in terms of reliability, not ballistic impact resistance). We have a 53 plate megane (white) with the 1.9 dci engine sat there doing nothing, its a shed (ex taxi) but we'd prob let it go for a grand. Around 50mpg average and pretty nippy. Id like to raise you ballistic impact resistance on my 1.4 civic sport, also "apocalypse survival"

I have an issue at the minute as we swap over the insurance each year to keep our no claims as i used a company motor aswel. The problem at the minute is the classic insurance i got for the corona (£100 fully comp ) Say i'm only insured aslong as i have another policy as in a daily driver. Would you suggest that i ring them up and see if they will take into consideration my company motor. Sorry for the hijack rog but i'm sure it maybe handy
