The-Plethora
Phew what a busy weekend getting stuff fixed and making things shiny. I sorted my engine loom today by splicing in a new coil pack lead for the troublesome connector pin, many thanks to Chris Wilson for getting me the part number for the right bit. I was wondering if there is a better way to join wires, or should that be cleaner? I stripped both of the wires back and then crimped them together and then used insulating tape, everything works fine now but I like things to look clean, are there any connecting plugs or something I could get instead of the crimp that might look tidier? On the plus side I can finally have my whifbitz carbon cam cover on after buying it months back!
Stevo
Use some spade or bullet connectors from Maplin etc?
j_jza80
Use some spade or bullet connectors from Maplin etc? By the sounds of it, that what he's done. You could solder the wires, then shrink wrap them, will be much neater looking.
sideexitsupra
As above. Solder and heat shrink is the way to do it.
