Smoke_U
I´m about to buy euro cams for my Auto TT J-spec. Q: Do cams need to be fine tuned once installed or is it just to slap them on and of i go!?
Chris Wilson
Ideally they want setting up with vernier adjustable pulleys, but lining up the dots will work. I'd be more concerned how you will be adjusting timing and mixture to take full advantage of the different breathing characteristics of the new cams though. Nic
The exhaust cams are the same on the Euro/UK Spec and J-spec Supras. The Euro/UK Spec intake cam is longer duration and higher lift compared to the J-spec. Do you have an aftermarket ECU fitted that will be mapped to suit the new cam setup? For the money and effort you'll probably not notice much difference.
