barneybrendan
i had to remove that bar when i fitted my top secret bumper.Personaly i dont think it really offers much protection ,maybe only for a very light bump. Will stiffen the front up a bit though. keron
yes when fitting a doluck bumper, you have to remove it...you can make one but thinner if you wish..but if you have a bump, it does not do much anyway...just shatters..and pulls your chassis legs over! so prob best without it imo! Batmax
Thanks a lot for moments I was thing this piece could make some difference for supra driven and handling .
JustGav
Hmmmm, I suspect much like the bonnet hooks near the window, these do actually serve purpose.....Mind you it could just be to hold the stock bumper up properly (Mine used to hang bad without it)
evinX
I would say dont worry about it, your intercooler will act as a crash bar in a way, same hollow metal like the crash bar...and kerons rights when they bend int he middle they pull the legs in
dude
AFAIK the only real reason is that they also have a polystyrene moulded cover that sits tight in the bumper, this is to stop the front bumper deforming in a low speed bump, I think it has to remain undamaged at 5mph. Guigsy
mine has the crash bar but not any polystyrene (stock bumper). guess it was removed when the IC was done. lol allthough saying that my front bumper has been on and off so many times the fit is shocking. lol
