Whats happened to radio 1

could it be that music in general at the moment is crap? I rarely listen to the new stuff any more as its all about massaging ego's than singing/playing music.

Then when someone that has got a bit of talent comes along they get brandished as being crap as they dont conform.

Having said that I had a little listen to the rave version of sesame street last week from '92.... those drugs were strong then i think! lol The girlfriend had never heard it before and I have shattered the illusion that was sesame street for her! :D

I hate radio1. I used to listen to it in the mornings when I was younger but the presenters love the sound of their own voices far too much nowadays. I RARELY hit the radio1 preset and actually get presented with any music. If they would control the amount of inane chatter they spurted out it would be a far better radio station, of course the music isn't to everyones taste but I can't blame the station for that.

Radio 1 stays the same. When you think its crap it means you are now old.

Just accept it as part of the aging process along with grey hair and start listening to radio 4, or if you have access to DAB, Absolute 80's / 90's plays proper music.

Radio 1 is ok if you're young... if you don't like it you'd better face up to the fact you're getting OLD!

:( (But true :))

I find Heart to be the most boring radio station in the world. They took over most of the regional stations like Chiltern on 96.6 and then binned their play lists and just run their middle of the road pop stuff. Nothing too edgy, nothing too exciting. Now there are no decent stations left on FM, Capital used to be good, but has gone poo, Kiss is okay but has been invaded by chav DJs who want the world to know how great they are.

So I have stopped listening to radio now.

I agree...they talk too much and usually its utter p!$h! They would get on better if they just played more songs!

Radio 4 FTW. Some good comedy in the early evening plus the culture show.

As for Moyles I find him to be an arrogant, sexist f**ktard with all the appeal of an open sore. I hope he gets booted into obscurity soon where he'll eventually die from an obesity related ailment, alone, penniless and forgotten.
