arch rolling

just a quick question if anyone knows

when rolling arches what happens to inner arch do you remove it ? or how does it fix once arches are rolled

i feel stupid asking but never seen arches rolled

Rolling arches is just the process of bending back the lip that sticks out in the arch, some people just use a piece of wood and a rubber mallet to do it, but getting it done professionally will mean there is less chance of cracking the paint.

Didn't you have flared arches put on yours? If you did any decent body shop will remove the bottom of the standard arch otherwise it renders the arches useless, so you should have no need to roll them.

Even if a proper arch roller is used the paint will crack.

Unless you only need a few mm of clearance then you might be lucky,but ill be very surprised if it doesn't

Not always, depends how far back they are rolled, I had the arches rolled on my old Supe, as I only needed a few mm more clearance they weren't rolled flush but to about a 45 degree angle and the paint wasn't cracked(IIRC it was something to do with heating and softening the paint beforehand).

the arches are rolled back on mine as i have 19s on my car but the inner plastic arches are not bolted on now to the top of arches so the hang a little low and sometimes scrap or catch when turning hard lock
