Some good results and the dyno seemed quite actuate, when we got the autos running right

Really enjoyed today, apart from the weather (knew I should've taken a coat!).

Happy with results too (although the car car cut out numerous times on the way home, including on the motorway)

I got 232. something, really please with that as I thought I would be around 20 less, couldn't be happier.

 

Next step is get a proper manifold made, cams and an alloy flywheel then back to TDi.

How accurate is the dyno there?

 

420 BPU and 232 N/A - I would say 20 less on each would be about right Neil.

Yeah I would think you are probably right. But at the end of the day it is relative. Good to have a start point to see what any mods bring.

 

It might just be that 2 figures posted so far are just very healthy specimens. My BPU was boosting at 1.27 bar peak on that run so within the realms of possibility for a BPU.

Mine ran 590, 592, 586 i think which, although awesome, sounds high for the spec.

 

Peaked at 1.33 bar

All bar a stock intercooler.

 

Either way, a little optimistic or not, will be a solid 400 which is what I was hoping for.

Not hub dyno no, that's TDi souths. The one we were using today is TDi souths old one

I am planning a trip to SRR in a few months so will be able to compare results, I always thought TDi had a reasonabley accurate dyno.
