mwilkinson
Love these films and the conceptual artist Brian Froud. My wife collects artwork by Broad Froud and we have been very fortunate to get a number of rare Artist Proofs which have been signed by him. I met Brian some years back and was asking about his experience on both films. He reminded me that despite the nostalgia of the Dark Crystal at the time of its release it was a total flop. He stated he was unlikely to sell any of the art from the film as it was owned in copyright by the film studio Did you also know in the Labyrinth that Sarah's baby brother was Brian Froud's son!! Matt H
I didn't like Dark Crystal. I tried to like it because of the Labyrinth, but the story wasn't great and the characters nothing special. It just wasn't exciting.
The-Plethora
Deffinately my favourate film of all time, my parents rented it out on Betamax! I have 2 full size labyrinth posters framed on my stairs. Another film to watch (kind of like the 3rd in a 'series') if you like is mirrormask, sometimes comes in a box set with the other 2, its quite cool but nothing on dark crystal or labyrinth. We went round a friends on new years as it was a house party thing and they had the soundtrack on CD, cuu much chilly down and dance magic dance goodness! TonytotheB
Dance magic, dance magic dance, magic... Such a great response. I know it would invoke loads of memories for all of us. It is funny how you can uniquely identify a character. Jennifer was hot. I love the bit at the beginning where she is about to say the words that cause he fate... and we see the goblins "Huhhh", "She's going to say it"... Epic Oh and hoggle p*ssing in the pond. Or that snail... "Elo", "Did you just say hello?", "No, I said 'Elo". And "If she'd have gone left, she'd have gone straight to that castle" [hear a London accent too] :) That little fox, Sir Didymus (spelling) was awesome Off to watch it on DVD... Swampy, the prize was not real as in the small print mate. Sorry

SteamAhead
Anyone remember Legend with Mr bad teeth (at the time) Tom Cruise. Again a bit of a cheesy fantasy film but still not bad for the time. A claim to fame is that my mother owned the horse that played the main unicorn in the film. As mentioned few post's up, Mirrormask is a great film, one of those films that kind of got missed when it came out.
