scooby_doo_do
Hi Chaps, bit of an odd one this, but i've just got my hands on a 42" canvas printer, but everything i'm printing is coming out with a green tint on it.. I've checked all the ink and the printheads and when i do a test on the printer, everything looks fine (including the colours). I've tried printing on canvas/plain and photo glossy with the same issues. (using a vista laptop). Any thoughts, or ideas? I've had a quick look at HP's site and a few other places, but nothing i've found has currently worked.. Wondering if it would be related to a driver issue? any help much appreciated. Craig. Animal
Could be drivers. Could be worth checking for any advanced colour settings in the printer options. Might possibly be a dicky cartridge, I know mine can get quite stuttery after they've been sat idle a while. I generally make sure the heads are properly free of gunk, then run a few prints off of something with good blocks of colours untill it flows well. Other than that, they're a good, reliable printer; mine's been going for 10 years with practically zero maintenance and other than the belt going last year its not stopped once. RobUK
Could be the colour settings of the image... Not sure what colours you get on a design jet, but you might need to change the image to cmyk??
SupraStar 3000
are your colour profiles matching. Application - Rip - Printer. Media profile on the printer is the first thing I would check. Print a sample on each media and see if you have any changes. Some of the profile descriptions dont necessarily need to match the paper your using. For example, I use a Satin Glass photo paper profile for printing on 300mc heavy weight paper
scooby_doo_do
ohhh...this is all a little new to me, eek.... I installed the drivers, slected the picture and pushed print first on the first try.. Checked all the options on the printer and they all seem ok. Inks i've replaced and when i do a ink test from the printer itself, all the colours are perfect. I have been throught the printer settings on the vista laptop, but can't see anything out of the ordinary that would make it go green. Spent 4 hours tonight using up lots of glossy paper testing... different media makes no apperent changed either. Laptop connects via usb using normal printer cable. scooby_doo_do
Think i've spotted something.... After several prints, i've found it only appears green on black and white pictures. All the colour ones are looking fantastic. On the HP's site it mentions that i should select true black but i don't have that option when i look at printing preferences. The search continues.. scooby_doo_do
Hi Rob, colour pics are in JPG format, the black and white ones are in PNG. I'm starting to think thats the issue...
