fizzle
I have been with Adrian Flux since owning the supra as i always found them the best price with good service... This year i decided to shop around a bit more than usual as my renewal was £550 (inc euro breakdown) and, for the 1st time, higher than what i paid last year even though i have now reached 5years no claims.. Anyway after reading a few threads i tried some of the companies you guys recommended, and a few of the usual suspects.. A few joke prices above a grand, and some similar quotes to the renewal price later, I tried Lynbrook. A very nice woman named Sarah, took all the details etc and rang me back later with a superb quote of £302.79:d it doesn't include driving other vehicles, but my van policy covers that anyway. Result !! So thanks for the recommendation, saving just bought me some leather seats!!

Havard
They're good aren't they. I joined them in September and found the service great. Although I haven't made a claim yet, I'll worry about that if it happens..!! H.
Attero
It's limited to 8000 miles though. What about those daily drivers who can rack up something like 12,000 miles.

Jord
Is yours a second car? Ah, no. I'm guessing that's why they're shockingly low then? Never owned 2 cars
Guigsy
Nice one mine last year was 780 and 1000+ this year. Even limited to 8000 miles that's easily under my average yearly as I live so close to work. I'll give them a go next year
TonytotheB
With Lynbrook and mine is around £500 OP, is your insured as a classic, i.e. a second car with limited mileage and has to be garaged between 11pm and 6am? Also in general, why are premiums going up? What are they doing to deserve it?
fizzle
With Lynbrook and mine is around £500 OP, is your insured as a classic, i.e. a second car with limited mileage and has to be garaged between 11pm and 6am? Also in general, why are premiums going up? What are they doing to deserve it? i asked why my premiums go up even though my no claims is faultless and it's simply because and i quote "we had to pay out a lot last year".. The usual story in this country.. we pay out for other peoples f**k ups!!!! It is on classic with 5000 miles, i also had 5000 on my old policy, as i use my van most of the time, think i'm averaging around 4000. It doesn't have to be garaged, i park it (covered) on my drive.. had license 5 yrs now (previously only bike) 5yrs No claims, 3 points! Now i've hit the milestone 5 years NCB, and now over 30(just) and with 3 years sports car driving experience, premiums finally down enough to get the TT conversion!! The only reason i went for n/a was to keep the insurance affordable, because i only had 2yrs driving experience, and that was in a hilux (which apparently makes a difference), so insurance was a killer to start paid £1300 1st year, £800 2nd and 500 last year now down to 300 i want to get the conversion done end of August this year.. Attero
So many idiots who crash claiming they have a fractured skull and broken spine... even though they bumped another car with the front end while reversing out of their parking space. ozz
I don't understand insurance, I'm still looking for a new car, currently pondering a noble m12 and a BMW 135 - got quotes, same value and mileage etc, £440 for the BM, £370 for the Noble!!! Both with trackers, makes no sense.
