Been offered a good P/X for my car, Looking at Legacy B4 Blitzen

Hi all!

Well as some of you may have seen I'm trying to sell my Corolla compressor, great little car, but need something with a big boot and 4 doors.

I'm currently on the verge of handing over a deposit for a ltd edition Subaru Legacy B4 Blitzen.

2.0 twin turbo 4wd :eyebrows:

Has all the usual jap electrical gadgets, full black leather, B.O.V and APEXi exhaust.

Obviously I have my car which I need to either sell or P/X, so I phoned the guy up (import dealer) a friendly Japanese guy, gave him the details of my car and sent him a load of photos of it and he offered me a superb P/X price, he says the Blitzen just needs to be registered, converted for UK use, M.O.T'd and Taxed and I can collect, says he can have it ready for next Tuesday, would probably make the trip down on a saturday though.

It's a fresh import and he says it comes with some history,

My only concern was he said he was going to make the car show the correct mileage, I.E it's showing in KM's and he's calculated what it is in Miles (45k) and that's what will now show on the odo, is that normal? I'd imagine a BIMTA or auction sheet would verify miles?

My Supra TT was converted to record in miles, but it was doing so on top of the original KM reading, I.E it had done 70k but 50k of that was in KM.

Anyway, does this seem a good deal to everyone? Are the B4's reliable? Anything I need to watch out for?

Any comments welcome!

Quite rare these, Porsche had some input in the blitzen models IIRC

Any pics? A Blitzen should have an odd looking rear spoiler.

Yeah apparently Porsche had an input with the styling, front and rear bumpers, skirts and rear spoiler :)

Pics of the one I'm looking at, the wheels aren't the originals unfortuantely...

Didn't go for that in the end, was a really nice car, but I was contacted via PM by a member on the Legacy forum and informed that he'd looked at the same car when it was in the auction in Japan, only difference was it had done 137,000KM (85K!) So at some point it's been clocked!

Back in the market, Corolla is still for sale but I've now been offered a WRX Impreza an an Evo 5 GSR :)
