Matt H
I bought Chris Burford's HP HDX18 laptop from the thread linked below. It's an absolute peach; however, there is one thing that bugs me: the computer is still identified as ‘Chris’ PC’. I think this is a windows thing and something that gets setup the first time you turn a new computer or copy of windows on? Does anyone know how to change this? The laptop is running Windows 7. Jord
It'll be in the control panel under 'User accounts' or something similar. You'll be able to add your own user account and change the names etc. Not on a windows 7 PC and can't remember off the top of my head to check though. Edit: http://malektips.com/windows-7-change-account-name.html 1. Click the Start menu. 2. Click on your account image to open the "User Accounts" control panel. 3. Click "Change your account name". Even though my account says 'Matt' and the start menu also says 'Matt', the computer's identinty is still 'Chris' PC' etc. For example, when my PS3 picks up the Laptop, it still says 'Chris' PC'.
