I will send you the credit card bill Abz:innocent:
Sure no problem Rog, I'll send you my wife's one in return :D

Just spoke to her (she is away at the moment) and she is thinking of coming on this trip as I mentioned a few ladies will be going along. If she does come, we will just pretend that the shopping centre is closed due to err wasp invasion. :D

Below is the current Itinerary, is everyone happy with that?

I just spoke to Chris and he advised we could get off at Calais & then go to beach in Dunkirk to spend the morning, we can then confirm what we will do for the next 2 days. I'll bring a few options and then we could sit in the sun (touches wood) and decide what everyone wants to do. Either way I would like to make a decision by Wednesday so then I can print out some leaflets to hand out on Friday morning.

Just so you people know, this trip is going to be epic! :D

What time are folks getting to the Ashford Travelodge on the Thursday? And are there any mini convoys planned on the way down (I'm coming from Lincoln - no idea what route yet!)

You could meet up with Ian Ian and I somewhere on the M1. We may go M6 - A50 - M1

I'm slightly confused now (thats not hard though) are we doing all that on the first day? I thought those venues were being spread across the three days, wifey won't be keen on doing all that on the first day, neither would I actually, (old man sindrome) I would have to sleep through Sat/Sun to recover.

Thanks for the advice on the petrol Tracey I will need to fill up before we leave for France and the one at junction 11 sounds good, my wife Tricia is just going to love having around 5 hours sleep before we leave.

My thoughts too Bob, I can't remember who arranged this but I'll try putting something more relaxing together.

Then after we all gather at our first stop we can discuss our options. :)

Most likely put 2 plans together and we can vote what to go for.

I was a bit confused too, 310 miles in one day plus the miles to the hotel in the morning in Ashford? This can't be right, these visits must be spread over the 3 days. We'd all be too tired to socialise Friday night if we did 310 miles on the first day after getting up so early!! :D That would be some serious fuel too, with more fuel needed for Saturday and Sunday too if it is right :(

That'll me TJP then :) but I wouldn't advise it after what happen on our last run:whistle:

It was dark and I had beans chewing my ears off

Haha :D

Well you best be ready when I get to yours LOL :p ;)

All depends what time you are thinking of arriving :eyebrows:

Okay what bright spark picked the Hotel in France

According to the reviews on TripAdvisor it's right next to a huge Shopping centre and I am taking the wife

I am considering ringing the Bodyshop on Tuesday and asking them to make sure it's not ready in time;), I have a huge bodyshop bill without the wife bending the plastic in France

Yipee, still in need of a few bits for the following weekends trip to ayia napa, good planning Abz :D

Funny that he pmd me today worried he wont be bringing enough money for fuel, no mention of funds for food or drink, now I know why :p

ps I thought he used to drive a supra and loves the feel of the second turbo kicking in? :eyebrows:

Spoke to ABZ last night, we had a good chat about the whole situation with the travelling. So everything is sorted. I have got the route we are taking etc. Stop off's etc.

4 days to go!!! yay :)

Just as some of you will not know. I will be travelling in my blue mr2 turbo. :)

So is the 310 mile trip around France on the first day wrong? :D Shame you won't be in a Supra, but MR2s do look cool so that's good enough :)

I still dont have a supra at the moment:(

I am really getting worried about it being ready in time now, it's really going to be a last minute dash for us I think

If your car isn't finished in time, you just know it'll be ready on the Saturday or something stupid :( I picked my car up on Saturday from the bodyshop and I thought that was cutting it fine :D

Did you tell him about your deadline?

You can strip, sand down, primer & paint within 4 days so tell him to get a move on & give priority to your car!
