Kilps
Since my first post on this, I haven't said much. Just thought I'd let you all know I'm still interested As well as Ellis' summary, it might be worth making a list of all the things that you need to take with you to drive in France, whether by law or just things that are handy. A few I can think of immediately: Required by law (as far as I know) GB Sticker (unless it's on your number plate) High vis jackets (for as many people you have in your car) Headlight stickers Warning triangle Handy to have Spare driver! Walkie-Talkies (I'm bringing 4 - Ellis) Spare Bulbs Jerry Can Tyre Weld If people can suggest more, I'll try to keep this post updated so there's a full list. Unless you want to add this to the bottom of yours Ellis? Edited January 20, 2011 by Kilps (see edit history)
DodgyRog
They used to supply stickers for headlights and GB stickers with the ticket, although that was a long time ago Handy to have...... the wife to drive in the morning after the night befores:friday:
Kilps
They used to supply stickers for headlights and GB stickers with the ticket, although that was a long time ago My initial thought on reading this was "That would cause havok for whichever member made the booking and had to distribute them", but then I realised tickets will have to be distributed anyway. Are tickets (and whatever else) being distributed by post or on the day? Handy to have...... the wife to drive in the morning after the night befores:friday: Nice idea... not available to all though I'm currently either bringing my mate or my brother with me I think. My mate could maybe drive my Supra. My brother certainly can't, and he'd be more drunk than me anyway!! Edit: In all seriousness though, a spare driver probably isn't a bad plan, just in case. KamaSupra
Does anyone know if the sat nav "Tom Tom" with speed camera alerts works in France if you have European maps on it? Eg: Tells you where the cameras are like in the uk?
johnny g
A quick search of the TomTom Website, searching the Speed Cameras, then coverage shows this: http://www.tomtom.com/services/service.php?id=3&tab=
