I emailed EuroTunnel about a 30 car booking and I got this.

This offer is only valid for the dates and times shown above and is open until 03/02/2011

The price corresponds to a significant discount against our public fares and also provides you with the additional benefits of the price being held for the offer period, amendable tickets and a dedicated team of specialists to help with your booking details and administration.

Please read the terms and Conditions attached; by making your booking you will be confirming the acceptance of them. A non refundable deposit of 50% is required when making the booking to reserve the space for your party, with the full balance due 12 weeks before travel or at the time of booking if booked less than 12 weeks before travel.

Have you arranged your Travel Insurance? Check out our great value European Motor Breakdown cover from just £9.99 and personal travel insurance from only £7 per person. Simply visit http://www.eurotunnel.com/insurance or call our contact centre on 08705 35 35 35 for more information. A small price to pay for peace of mind.

If you choose not purchase travel insurance with Eurotunnel or make alternative insurance arrangements for your vehicle and the persons travelling, we are obliged to advise our Duty of Care statement to you;

"You and your group members understand the risks of travelling without motor breakdown cover or personal travel insurance".

We are happy to help should you require any advice on motoring abroad to help your event go as smoothly as possible. If you need any other arrangements to make your event that little bit extra special we are always happy to discuss.

Yours sincerely,

Marie

I've got Booking Forms and T&C's off them as well.

And just to check, that is £76 return?

The train back is a touch early in the day, would have preferred a 17:00 sailing as it is in French time so we arrive back in england at 3pm if we take the 2.50pm out of Calais. But I think that might be one to go with.

I would personally contact SeaFrance and P&O ferries and ask how much a group booking would be with them just to make sure we dont have any other options. I know most of us wouldnt get on a ferry due to being too low, but worth seeing what the price difference is.

Chris, any news on the hotel?

What happens when everyone puts their foot down and you're left behind (or at least not at the front of the pack)? Unless of course you buy a single :)

Is there anyway we can verify parking at the stopover points. ?

I'm a stickler when it comes to parking the supra anywhere. So secure parking, prefferably covered would be a huge bonus and piece of mind.

Oh, and car wash facilities would also be nice, can't have the supe looking minging when we're acting as UK supe ambassadors :D

Sounds perfectly reasonable. We are almost a definite for this if it goes ahead, just sorting out holidays and child care..!!

Fully covered parking is going to be in a very expensive hotel. I doubt people will want to pay out £300+ for hotel accomodation. Im sure Chris will find what he can and if it does not have covered parking you may need to find an alternative hotel I'm afraid.

Like the sound of £76 for tunnel, any news on hotel prices and distance we will be covering? Dont mean to pester but gf is wanting to work out prices as i still have to spend a fortune putting the car back together.

I've just Google Map'd a quick sample route to gauge peoples thoughts, based on what Branners said before.

Calais - Lille

Lille to Boulogne-sur-Mer

Boulogne-sur-Mer back to Lille

Lille to Kortrijk (a quaint village by the old WWI battle fields)

Kortrijk back to Calais

Link here

Works out around 310 miles or thereabouts by excluding motorways and toll roads

Also found this article on P&O Ferry site about driving in northern France.

There's the info :)

Yes, that's £76 return, I can ask about the later trains, but I'll probably duck out and go early to be honest, I've got 300 miles AFTER I get off the train. I don't mind paying a standard fare on the train.

Lets stick with those times, probably best for most anyway. If you can check with Seafrance or P&O or let me know and I will get in touch with them for a comparison price.

You do Seafrance, I'll do P&O and the last one with information smells worse than Gaz6002

Ok, covered is taking the pee, but secure parking must be available surely?
Some places do have underground parking, we stayed in an Ibis and it had underground parking! Though what he failed to mention was that the decline was so steep, unless you don't have a front bumper it will scrap!

Though the gentlemen was kind enough to give me some wood... to use as ramps! :)
