Well i have a night in on my own tonight, so i have quickly mocked up the back plate and tensioner. Needed to find some bolts and washers, which ill gold plate tonight.

I think i have about 20 bolts and washers going in the tank tonight (each done individually), so should improve the look of the engine a bit.

Its looking very nice. I used to loathe people asking for the lower runners to be done.

I managed to get hold of a couple of tools that made it easier though.

The cam pulleys are hard to get a good polish on aren't they ;)

just horrible job polishing the lower runners, nothing exciting about them.

cam pulley's are easy with the right tools, mine have come out spot on but they were gold plated too... so the polishing needed to be mirror like.

no its all being covered up dude. The reason im going so extreme is to keep a good record of progress, to show customers and also to get comfortable plating different materials.

Now thats what I call OCD lol, great attention to detail, can the black chrome effect some wheels have be recreated like chrome coloured chrome can ??????

Lovely work bud, is this a single build or tt?

single mate, i fancy being in the 500+ club.

WOW mate, thats going to very very nice when completed. Is your plans for the car a show car then? or do you intend to use it proper?

thanks Geo. Bit of both really, i am aiming at 550bhp which is not huge but im keeping the stock auto box so cant run much more than that.

Got all the surface's cleaned off today and removed any existing gasket from the engine block. Got some decent quality gasket maker from my local motor factor's.

replaced all the o rings with new before putting the oil pump on, once on i treated it to some gold plated bolts which i wont see lmao :D.

once the bolts were tightened the new gasket oozed out which is better left than wiped and also a good sign its going to seal properly.
