Rob_Mitchell
Got more pics sent. Lee and James are doing such a nice job on this car. Anyway, new throttle cable is fitted and heat wrapped. wastegates are all fitted now. Had got Lee to change the oil feed for a shorter one as i might go back to the trd chrome strutbrace, so this guarantees this will be ok now. Oil return fittings have also had to been changed so the line and fittings keep away from the manifold also, NOW fits perfect and line heat wrapped. Had to have the cam cover stripped as it needed a bit of welding doing around one of the fixings and also needed a bloody good clean out.... this has also been sorted now. Rob_Mitchell
Its in good hands so im sure bad news is over come fairly quickly. Yeah your not wrong. The slightest bit of bad news with the car is quickly sorted for something even better. I cant praise SRD enough, they are nearly as bad as me with the OCD
Rob_Mitchell
Both Wastegates all finished and covered in heat wrap and screamers now finally fit perfect. Turbo oil feed line made up and covered. Intercooler pipework to turbo all mocked up and fits perfectly. I gold plated a selection of jubilee clips last night and have sent them out this morning so the intercooler pipe to turbo can be finished. hodge
Is the oil feed fitting stainless or have you just plated it Rob?
Rob_Mitchell
Is the oil feed fitting stainless or have you just plated it Rob? Its stainless mate, i gold plated the bigger fitting which was previously on it.
hodge
What's the reason why you used stainless, is it because of the heat or just aesthetics.
Rob_Mitchell
What's the reason why you used stainless, is it because of the heat or just aesthetics. Thats just what it is made in mate. No reason. I have a feeling they might be zinc plated.
