Rob_Mitchell
Been trying to get all parts together to make my custom stainless steel under bonnet heat tray. Im going to make templates up when i get the bonnet and ill send the templates to be cut out in mirror stainless steel. I have got some really nice gold caps to go around the edge of the stainless. I have also ordered a 6"x3" mirror polished brass plaque to be mounted on the centre heatsheild GOLD RUSH SUPRA Special thanks DARNLEY AUTOWORKS SUPRA RACING DEVELOPMENTS GARAGE WHIFBITZ 2BARTUNING DM-MOTORSPORT EXTREME PERFORMANCE SBA-TUNING Without the above company names i have had on the plaque the car wouldnt be, so im very grateful to all of you guys and the help i have recieved from you all during the build Edited March 5, 2012 by Rob_Mitchell (see edit history)
Tee from China
Hi how big is that under-bonnet heat tray going to be? will it just be over the engine or like those you get for Chrysler PT Cruisers that encase the whole engine?
TheTurtleshead
IMO bud, stick the plate on a little stand/spec list thing you can put next to the car at shows. You know one of those things you can drive on to hold it down? I think the less badging/name plates and things the better, could look a bit nafftastic imo, will reserve judgement till I see it though! And it is your car after all! Rob_Mitchell
Lee sent the brand new FMIC panel with some nice stickers, going to do the same thing as i done with the Radiator panel tonight. Im only doing half the panel tonight. I really like this idea and its something totally new. Panel all ready for 24ct gold treatment!! Rob_Mitchell
Plated one half of the FMIC panel, didnt realise it would cost me nearly £150-200 in gold but it looks good so thats all that matters. Just need to plate the other side, just waiting on a sticker.
