Rob_Mitchell
Been texting Lee tonight and he has been giving the car a good look over. Overal he is very happy with the work that has already been done but there are a few bits which need doing and routing again ect. I guess its not a huge deal and im happy lee has spotted a couple of my errors routing the gearbox cooler pipes. Going to get a new battery for the car also as mine has seen better days. I think Lee is happy with the work left to do and im more than happy to leave it to him , i know he has some little ideas of his own. mellonman
Rob would you be happy to tell me what way you run your gearbox oil cooler lines, so i can tell if i had done mine wrong i had put mine round the side of the rad.

Hey bud, i routed mine the same as yours BUT this was not the problem Lee spotted. I lightly cable tied the pipework up, to keep things tidy but somehow the tie had tightened and marked the pipe. Its not a huge problem but might have been in later months if it rubbed through. I guess it was my mistake and i should have put a covering over the pipe first, just was being too neat with the whole thing.

Rob_Mitchell
Thanks for that rob, no biggy then, always better to be safe then sorry No biggy at all mate but being a project thread i would rather add it in, so people dont do the same mistakes. Dissapointed a bit that i didnt spot it, being a mechanic and all that

Rob_Mitchell
Just ordered the new touch screen display unit, this will run nicely with the syvecs setup. It will also keep all the gauges in one tidy place for me to monitor, as im not a fan of gauges all over the inside. johnny g
Where you planning on mounting this, Rob? You chroming the edges?
Rob_Mitchell
Where you planning on mounting this, Rob? You chroming the edges? No idea yet, alex has his car in with lee at the moment and also has the unit, so ill see where lee mounts it. I got the fixed mounting bracket option too, im not a fan of mounting things to the screen, so ruled the other option out straight away
