Rob_Mitchell
Started work on the gearbox later on in the day at work. mirror polished the bell housing on the box which im going to clear coat tomorrow to keep it all sealed. Going to paint the rest of the box in gloss black or sparkling aluminium, just got some more rubbing down to do on it to get it perfect. Im not going too mad with this as its really only the bell housing you see a little of but i will gold plate the housing bolts and the lick of paint will keep things looking clean. David P
Maybe you should change your handle to 'Polisholic'?

Rob_Mitchell
All clear coated now so should just be a easy wipe off with a rag if i can be bothered to clean it . Just before the clear coat i put one of our stickers on the box and it is now laquired in .

Rob_Mitchell
Gave the engine a little paint up in places (no tar brushes were used or harmed in anyway) mixed a tiny pot of sparkling silver up and painted the head in all the nooks and crannies. Still undecided what to do with the water pipe which goes up near the back of the engine, whether to shorten it ect and remove the rubber water hose which joins the 2 together. Gave the engine a little polish up. Got a call from my chromers today and they have sent all the Q45 parts & springs out for the throttle body, seriously cant wait to get that bolted to the manifold, its going to look very nice and i cant say i have seen another one all chromed out. Might get my cam covers chromed too soon. Took a few snaps of the engine as it was pulled away from its usual spot and i was able to capture some underneath bits. ignore the power steering cap thats just put on for a picture, i have a whole new range coming out soon. Rob_Mitchell
Dropped the rear subframe complete with LSD ect as a whole unit, not a bad job to do. Going to give the whole assembly a lick of paint plus im going to chrome and polish some of the components.

Ill just tidy the lot up and freshen up with paint ect
Rob_Mitchell
Brushed the whole of the rear subframe assembly with a truck wash and left it to soak, it removed alot of the dirt and grime but still needs more work before i even think about painting it. Got one piece of the puzzle done though, just needs clear coating  Now i think i have lost the plot
