Blackie
Just thinking that the only way the miles can clock up is via the ecu, So if i had a lower mileage ecu would the miles on the clock drop?

Digsy
Its no secret is it? The odo is fed by the output from the vehicle speed sensor. The mileage is stored in the odo circuit board itself. The odo board also buffers the speed signal and sends it to the speedo, ECU, PAS and active front spoiler. Anyone who has fitted a decent speed delimiter will know this. Swampy442
As above Ive also known people to have shitty MPH convertors clock up miles on their odo.
monsween
I thought this at first too. But then when i changed my 406coupe engine a few years back changed the ECU and the same odo was there. Funnily enough i couldnt get my ECU to work with the new engine, i had to use the ECU it came with to fire it up
